The following bio was written when I was younger and a bit nuttier.
It was inspired by the rockstar press-kit bio.
Charles (Chuck, Charlie, and Chaso the Magician) Fox was born in the month of January in a little suburban hospital located in Abington, Pennsylvania, outside Philadelphia.
They say he was brandishing a soldering iron in his right hand. His mother had no comment.
After birth he took up residence for approximately five years in Glenside, Pennsylvania. He was subsequently relocated to Illinois, the reputed Land of Lincoln.
When he arrived in Illinois, Chuck and his family immediately moved into a cozy little three bedroom house located in a prosperous town, on the outskirts of Chicago, called Glen Ellyn. It was here that he decided to begin the start of his lifelong career.
When Chuck was six years old, he had the distinct honor of performing live in the classically renowned play "The Kitchen Scene."
On opening day at the Fox Playhouse, he became very excited, not to mention queasy. It wasn't until after the Playhouse 5 owner and operator Mr. Fox had a chat with him, that the butterflies started to take off from his stomach.
Since his older sister had the lead in the play, Chuck had to prove his talents in order to capture the attention of the audience. It proved successful for not only did they get two curtain calls, but Chuck received lemonade and brownies backstage.
He was hooked. If this was show business then he wanted to be a part of it.
After a couple of years, Chuck teamed up with a good friend by the name of Regan Ruddy and the both of them decided to put together a traveling class clown act.
They took the act on the road for a tour of the Hawthorne Elementary School. The tour lasted around four years, from the second to sixth grade levels.
In the sixth grade, his teacher asked the class to interview a person who was like what they wanted to be when they grew up.
Chuck wanted to be a hockey player.
So, Chuck dialed up Pat "Whitey" Stapleton. Number twelve. All-star defenseman for the Chicago Blackhawks.
At the time he had just acquired the WHA's Chicago Cougars and quickly became the team's Player/Owner/Coach.
They actually put the kid through to Whitey.
Old-time hockey...
